Hiya! Welcome to the personal page (and alleged portfolio) of Jade Symmonds. Click one of the links above to navigate to various parts of the site! My personal recommendation is starting with the bio, but if you wanna see some neat JS I made, check out the gallery!

You can find a complete rip of the site's source code (plus or minus a few differences) on the portfolio page. And maybe, just maybe, one day I'll actually have things to show off there :3

If anyone wants to use any of the source code on my site, feel free to do it, no questions asked! Just make sure you don't say it's YOUR work. I don't need credit, but I don't like seeing people take credit for something they didn't do.

Super late on this update, we had guests staying for a while, but I've got something super cool to show y'all :3
Featuring my largest project yet, the XGE character generator! This is a conversion of my old python script which generated random characters using the tables from Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
It should work on most every browser, and I'll be including the python script in the zipped site file dump for anyone who wants to use it.
It isn't complete yet, still VERY much a work in progress, but I'm hoping to have it shaped up and looking good by the end of next week! It was a super fun project, I got a TON of experience with Javascript and DOM manipulation without using a library like JQuery or Bootstrap.
My site wall is avalaible to leave comments, critiques, and bug information.

Compressed all the web images! Should load almost three times as fast. Did it in a large batch using the caesium image compressor (linked here!)
Changed the nav to load dynamically with a pretty simple javascript function. Adding pages to the nav is much easier to manage now!
Recreated a hex clock I saw years ago that I thought was cool (see it in action here!)

Added the updates section!
Added a proper banner and got rid of the placeholder text
Minor style changes, mostly spacing
Made a few additions to the portfolio page, though have not included links because I haven't recreated the projects yet.
Restructured a bit of the gallery page on the backend, though none of the changes are visible.
Added a link to the landing page to the nav bar. Note to self, that'll be a pain in the ass if I add more pages. Consider using JS to populate the navbar instead since each page pulls the same js file.

TODO:

Continue improving the XGE generator!
Make it look more pretty, add the rest of the tables
Add more galleries! I have plenty of pictures I want to share :3
Add alt-text for all the images! Very important.
Add touchscreen support for swiping to the gallery for mobile devices.
Recreate the ADR ripoff in my portfolio. Should only take me a day or so to do, if I can stay focused.
~~Set up the navigation bar to be generated via JS so I only have to change it in one place as opposed to N places depending on how many pages get the navbar.~~
